Perhaps, the October Small Railway (MOZD) is a Children's Railway on which there is no longer plenty of work on reconstruction, therefore the story about it will occupy less than a page (see links below). It was opened on 28 August, 1948. Since then it has been shortened some times. But now it is one of the most "alive" children's railways of Russia. In 1999 one more serious reconstruction of the line was carried out, during which for the first time in the line's history it was lengthened, to 4.2 kms - and dual-gauge (three-rail) track of 750/1520 mm has appeared at the site.

The management of the "big" October Railway does not overlook its need for recruits, and assists in the organization of training of young railwaymen. Each summer the best personnel employees of the "big" October Railway act as seconded instructors on the Small October line.

In the near future it is planned to continue development of the Children's Railway.
